ABOUT THE CLINIC

Alvin Animal Clinic was started by Dr. Beryl Cline in 1956. Two years later he was joined by Dr. Richard Baker. Drs. Baker and Cline served the Alvin Community for 50 years, first as livestock practitioners, caring for Alvin's many dairies and cattle ranches, then later as companion animal veterinarians, caring for household pets. Over the years, Alvin Animal Clinic became known for its caring and compassionate doctors and staff. In August of 2005, Drs. Baker and Cline retired, passing on the Alvin Animal Clinic tradition to Dr. Amanda Hoffpauir.
Under Dr. Hoffpauir's management, Alvin Animal Clinic continues to serve the growing need for quality, compassionate pet care in Alvin. Our doctors treat cats, dogs, birds, rodents, reptiles, and goats, among others. If you have an unusual pet, give us a call. If our doctors cannot treat your pet, we will help you find a doctor who can.
Alvin Animal Clinic is a friendly place where new friends are always welcome. We prefer that you call ahead and make an appointment, but we also understand that emergencies are unavoidable and we will accept sick or injured patients as "walk-in's" from 8am to 11am and 2pm to 4pm Monday thru Friday.
Alvin Animal Clinic is a full service veterinary care facility with on site radiology, pharmacy, surgery, dentistry, blood work, and microscopy. We also offer some unique services that are not offered at all veterinary facilities such as: artificial insemination for dogs, some orthopedic surgeries, an online store with home delivery for refilling prescription medicines, exotic animal care, climate controlled boarding for most types of pets, wireless internet access while you wait, computerized recordkeeping, glaucoma screening, and microchipping just to name a few.
At Alvin Animal Clinic, our motto is "We Care". Not only do we care about you and your pet, we also care about the Alvin community. Dr. Hoffpauir is a proud member of the Alvin Chamber of Commerce and the Alvin Rotary Club. She also serves on the Alvin Animal Control Board of Advisors. Alvin Animal Clinic proudly sponsors the Shriner's Circus'and the 4H youth livestock auction.
Our service personnel are very important to AAC and the Alvin community. In appreciation for their efforts, we offer discounts for Police, Fire Fighters, and Active Duty Military.
