Collections Manager

I have loved animals all my life, and 12 ½ years ago I thought what a perfect job. And still today IT IS THE PERFECT JOB. I love anything outdoors. I love watching my boys play baseball, basketball, soccer and tennis. I am married with 2 boys who are both in high school. I have 2 dogs, one is a Jack Russel terrier and the other is a boykin spaniel. I have 1 cat.

Kristin Martin, R.V.T
Practice Manager

Kristin has been in the veterinary field for 12 years. She started her journey as a receptionist at a clinic in Columbus, Ohio. There she quickly learned skills as a kennel assistant and eventually a veterinary assistant. As Kristin’s desire to learn and better herself in the field grew, she decided to attend school to become a registered veterinary technician. She graduated from Colombus State Community College in December 2003. After living in Columbus for 5 years, she made a big move to Beaumont, Texas for family reasons.

Since being in Texas, Kristin has been the manager at two separate clinics before moving to Alvin Animal Clinic. She is currently our only registered technician at the clinic, but she supports any technician wanting to train themselves to be better employees. Kristin believes in the team approach to veterinary medicine. All members are important, from kennel staff, to receptionists, to managers, to technicians, assistants, and doctors. She also wants clients to feel wanted at Alvin Animal Clinic and that their pets are welcome home here.

Kristin has a large herd of her own at home:

• 12 year old son
• Baby girl
• 2 dogs
• 4 cats
• 1 gecko... which all keep her very fulfilled.
